Where To Find Your Next Great Read

The Task

Anyone can give a recommendation or make a list of what they deem as the "best." However, it's one thing to get a recommendation; it's another to get one from someone you trust. In fact, that's the whole point of this website: to provide credible recommendations to you from folks that both read and write sports books for a living. 

We'd be foolish to say there aren't other great recommendation sites out there. Below are 6 places that we've found valuable if you're looking for ideas, recommendations, and reviews. 

The List

​Goodreads is a social media platform for readers that allows you to find and share book recommendations with friends and other users. It also has a feature called "shelves" where you can categorize the books you've read and want to read, and the site will suggest similar books based on your preferences.

Bookbub is a website that sends personalized book recommendations to subscribers based on their interests. It also offers discounts on e-books and audiobooks.

The New York Times Best Sellers list is a weekly list of the top-selling books in the United States, across all genres. It is compiled by The New York Times newspaper and is considered a reliable source for book recommendations.

Amazon's "Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought" feature suggests similar books to those that you have purchased or rated highly on the site.

The Guardian's "Best Books of the Month" feature recommends new books across a variety of genres, selected by The Guardian's team of book critics.

The New Yorker's "Page-Turner" blog offers recommendations for books in a variety of genres, as well as essays and articles about books and the literary world.
